Why does my 5-month-old love to repeatedly bang his head against my chest or his car seat? can this be an indication of a problem?

Head banging: Head banging is a rhythmic habit that children develop, much like thumb sucking. Sometime, it may be a way for a child to express pain like teething. It is a benign condition and rest assured he is not harming himself. If you pay less attention to it the habit will soon pass.
