Both: Are excellent ways of getting cardio exercise. Many people people find outdoor biking to better hold their interest, and therefore produce better results. Indoor bikes are safer, of course, so if there is any reason to be concerned about one's ability to ride an outdoor bicycle safely, indoor it should be!
