Dr. Marc Neff answered

Sleep exercise: Patients that exercise regularly, tend to have better sleeping habits, less risk of sleep apnea, their sleep efficiency is improved, and they, overall, need less sleep. You can't really replace sleep with exercise, and there is some evidence that lack of sleep can increase ones weight and negatively impact on metabolism. But regular daily exercise will help you feel less fatigued/sleepy.
