I'm having a progestin deficiency on seasonique. can this be caused by excessive working out? and does this mean my bc isn't preventing pregnancy?

Seasonique: If you are on Seasonique then your ovaries are essentially turned off. The Estrogen and Progesterone in your body is provided by the combination birth control pill. You should not be Progesterone deficient as your levels will reflect the Progesterone contained in the pill. I would seek clarification regarding the diagnosis of Progesterone deficiency.

Unlikely-No-bc work: It is quite unlikely (and unclear how a diagnosis can be made) that you might be "having a progestin deficiency on Seasonique"; these contraceptive pills do contain progestins -There is very little probability that "excessive working out" can cause "a progestin deficiency on Seasonique". -Your bc should be >90% effective in preventing pregnancy if taken regularly. Consider a Mirena (levonorgestrel) or a Skyla
