A member asked:

Hello. i have been taking qlaira birth control, but have found i do better if i skip the estradiol pills (it's a 4-phasic pill). can i do this and thus only take the progestin containing pills and still be protected from pregnancy? thanks?

No, you will lose maximum protection. Good Luck

There are 4 estradiol only pills (dark yellow and dark red) in the pack and you can safely not take any or all of these (as well as the two non-hormonal white pills) without reducing your protection (which is never 100%). Just keep to the proper schedule for the rest of the pills. If you develop more symptomatic or irregular bleeding then adding them back might help.
