PIH: You have pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH) and should be seen immediately by your OB MD or ER MD if you don't have an OB MD. Strokes can and do occur in pregnant women as well as seizures which can cost you and/or your fetus' life.

See your doctor: Isolated facial numbness may not be a serious problem, but high blood pressure during pregnancy can be a sign of a very serious complication. Please see your doctor to get your blood pressure rechecked and to have a urine test for protein (both are indicators of developing pre-eclampsia or toxemia of pregnancy), and a neurological exam to diagnose the cause of the facial numbness.
