Common Problem: Bleeding will occur after surgery, and it is not uncommon to ooze blood for 24-72 hours after wisdom teeth removal. Avoid the vigorous mouth rinsing, brushing or touching the wound area.

Pressure: Sterile gauze folded onto a pad and placed over the wound. Bite down with pressure for 15 min. Repeat as necessary for an hour. If it is still bleeding, call your surgeon.
