Could 8yr old daughter have a kidney infection without a fever, severe back pain & frequent urination? mri & kidney scan clear but nitrates in urine.

Please see answer: It is possible to have a kidney infection without those symptoms, although more often than not fever would be present. If the MRI and kidney scan are normal it's very unlikely she has a kidney infection. The presence of nitrites makes it 98% certain she has a urinary tract infection, but in her case more likely just in the bladder.
