Unless profusely: If "bleeding bright red after sex" is not profuse, is less than a cupful of blood and is not continuous, there may be little cause for alarm. Trauma to the soft and delicate tissues in your vulva, vagina or cervix may be the source and cause of bleeding, not PID. If the bleeding is really very heavy, persisting and worrying you, go to the ER. Seek a Gyn who can offer you a LARC and STI protection
