I had an am cortisol done, but didn't get it drawn until 8:30am. my result is 13. is that too late of a time? i couldn't get there before 8. thanks

AM cortisol: I am not sure why the cortisol was ordered. Cortisol is higher in the AM versus the PM (8:30 is ok), but it bounces around all day long, so one value does not say much. An AM cortisol of 13 tells me you don't have Addison's disease, but not much else.
