ED: If you are healthy it is. ED is a sign of underlying health problems in about 50 percent of men. Once that is determined then a doc can decide if it is psychological. See a doc in the USA.

Young for ED at 31: ED is quite common after age 40, & not common at age 31. Hope U have had adequate work-up by Urologist to rule out treatable medical causes for this problem. However be pleased that it responds to Sildenafil.

Many possible causes: Male sexual arousal is a complex process that involves the brain, hormones, emotions, nerves, muscles and blood vessels. Erectile dysfunction can result from a problem with any of these. Likewise, stress and mental health concerns can cause or worsen erectile dysfunction. Doctor must rule out medical causes, especially in younger man. Best regards for good health.

Find a cause: If you are having problems with erections in all situations, including when you are by yourself and thinking about whatever has in the past proved most exciting, then there's likely an underlying illness. Prolactinoma and hemochromatosis famously present like this and get missed. Both are treatable. Best wishes.

Psychological factor: Psychological factors play heavily into ED, and this can occur at any age. Are you experiencing Anxiety, low self esteem? Trying hard to please your partner or attract a new one? It's important to take stock of how you are feeling emotionally and to discuss this with a professional. It is entirely possible that your ED has an emotional rather than physical cause.

Not necessarily: There are many caused of ED, including performance anxiety. ED medication can help with this form, but dealing with the anxiety itself is best at your age if this is the source.
