Recheck with doctor: Painful urination from a UTI usually clears up within 2-3 days. If other symptoms are improved (like urgent urinarion, bladder tenderness), probably everything is OK. Or you might need a different antibiotic; or maybe it's something other than UTI, such as yeast infection or an STD, if you're at risk. Check back with the doctor treating you. Good luck!
