I india,i've seen poor ppl get scratched and bite many times by stray dogs.these ppl don't take anti-rabbies vaccine atall yet they live months after?

It happens: You can walk across a street and not get run over by a car, but the one time you try to cross and get hit, you may die.If we could identify witch scratch or bite is a real rabies exposure and which are not, we would give less vaccine. We can't. By the time people develop symptoms they will die a horrible death.
