Still higher than a: non-moker for lung cancer. However, there are other risks you will be taking such as emphysema, sometimes oxygen-dependent, bladder cancer, mouth and tongue cancer etc. So best to not smoke at all. Good luck.

Smoking=cancer.: Well, the chance of you getting cancer at some point is certainly higher than if you never smoked at all. It might be lower because of your overall amount of carcinogen exposure, but we simply can't quantify that well. Just be safe going forward, and take any cough or unexplained weight loss seriously.
