Glad you've quit: You will never recover the damage to the elasticity in your lungs, and this will take away some of your wind as you get older. Lung cancer's rare at your age even smoking. You will have a somewhat increased cancer risk for the next two decades but it is still low. The key is that you have overcome this godawful addiction. It is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself and those who love you.
