Sock it to me baby.: Just how tight were those socks? It sounds like they were on the verge of being tourniquets. You probably caused a leak in a superficial vein. As long as you are not showing signs of bruising elsewhere, I think you will be okay. Applying heat may help dissipate the blood faster. If any further bruising occurs, you might see a specialist.
