A member asked:

What is the strongest type of non metal dental crown? is it zirconia? and is it stronger than your natural tooth?

You Are Correct: Sounds like you've done some homework or was told about the material. Zirconia is the strongest non-metal crown & it is stronger than your teeth. If it's not polished properly, it can cause wear on your teeth.

Yes: Zirconia is the esthetic strongest material available, and if it not well polished it can wear the tooth structure easily

Crown : I would use e-max (lithium disilicate) and bonded. It is strong, highly esthetic, prefer supragingival margins. Zirconia can not be bonded to the tooth structure. Success of dental crowns is not only on its strength from fracture but protecting the underlying tooth structure from recurrent decay. Margins are important. Well done bonded restoration will outlast cemented one.
