Low risk: You are concerned about HIV, but there are other STDs and some are not avoided by condom. It would be good idea to see your doctor and have an evaluation. If HIV is the only concern, get tested in 12-16 weeks by a HIV nucleic acid test.

If you have symptoms: of STD, then you would need to be checked. If not, by wearing condoms you should be protected to a large degree. Symptoms of STD include penile discharge, itchy rash, painless or painful eruptions in the groin area, fever, rash on hands, pain on urination or ejaculation, or weight loss/ fatigue/ night sweats/ jaundice.
