Try partner's doctor: I would suggest making an appointment with the doctor or clinic where your partner gets his HIV treatment. It's a fair bet s/he understands all aspects of HIV treatment and prevention. But I wonder whether you were advised against PrEP because your partner's HIV infection is well controlled on treatment, with an undetectable or very low viral load. If so, you are at little or no risk.
