A member asked:

I have factor v leiden and the past two days i've been having leg pain minimum swelling and now chest pains when i raise my arms. when to go to dr??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Risk of clots: Factor V Leiden is associated with an increased risk of blood clots. Is the minimal swelling and leg pain in one leg (calf) or in both legs? Any shortness of breath? If your leg and chest pains are bilateral and there is no shortness of breath you are probably fine. If the leg pain/swelling is unilateral and you are short of breath you should be seen by a physician today.
