Need further work up: Possible NIHL, possible congenital, usually post lingual hearing loss is aquired. Things such as recurrent infections and loud noises. Also must consider a tumor known as a vestibular neuroma that may cause unilateral hearing loss. Though you are only 17 and a bit young for this diagnosis, it remains a possibility and deserves an MRI for further assessment.
