Safe, not much good: Probiotics are safe in pregnancy, but haven't proved very effective against yeast or BV. OK to try them, but don't get your hopes up. There are effective drugs to treat or prevent yeast or BV that are safe for both mom and the baby, especially after the first trimester. Your obstetrician should be able to get on top of this. Ask about fluconazole, metronidazole, and boric acid vaginal capsules.

Please bring this up with your Gynecologist who knows your medical history. If you don't have confidence in your Doctor see another for a second opinion.
