Can i examine my own vagina without a speculum?

Sure, but...: It's a simple task if just looking for lost objects, such as a missing tampon. Not hard to do if checking to see if IUD strings are still there. Trying to examine the cervix and the front/back/side walls of one's own vagina is much harder (even for contortionists), in part because one needs to have examined many other vaginas in order to know what looks normal and what looks odd. It's not easy.
