Radiculopathy: The most common cause for a burning pain radiating from the shoulder, down the arm, to the hand is a cervical radiculopathy. This is usually caused by compression of one of the cervical nerves as they leave the spine. The compression is caused by a herniated or bulging disc or arthritis.
