Sure hope so: If a woman goes in to check her septate hymen, she should expect to have her hymen checked. If that doesn't happen, she's probably at the wrong doctor's office. The way to check a hymen (can be done at home) is just to grab one labia with the right thumb and finger, and grab the other labia with the left thumb and finger, and then pull outwards gently. The holes in the middle should be visible.
