Depends on how much: You DO eat refined sugars as ice cream and chocolate generally contains refined sugar. I advise limiting chocolate to dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa solids and limit to about 1 ounce a day. Ice cream should also be OK if you just have small amounts a few times a week. If you eat lots of vegetables, are physically active and maintain a normal weight you will probably not develop diabetes.
