Cold,burning: Frequently there is slight inflammation of the umbilical and I would check for mild redness or slight odor in the area. If none is present, perhaps there is some minor irritability of the superficial nerves around the umbilical area. In any event it doesn't appear to be a significant problem. Keep the umbilicus clean and dry.
