Natural doesn't work: People use sunblock moisturizer. Avoiding exposure to the sun will let skin lighten up, but the color won't be lighter than one's natural untanned color. One should take extra vitamin D to make up for not getting vitamin D from the sun. Although tanned skin from sun exposure is not a medical illness, there are a few uncommon medical conditions that can cause skin darkening. Have the doctor look.
