Eat soup: Soup will 'trick' the brain into consuming less calories than you actually take in. So I recommend to start your meals with soup-something that's got flavor, veggies and minimal salt. Then, the brain will interpret this as 'more calories' than it actually is, and over time you'll lose weight. Of course, cutting out excess sugars/fats, exercise, etc -as you've heard about- will help lose the weight
