It would be helpful: To know if by "the pill" you mean that you took "Plan B" or started taking regular daily oral contraceptives. The answer depends in part on which of the two you are referring to, but most likely this is breakthrough bleeding. If you read the patient information on the medicine you are taking that is most likely described somewhere. For more information don't hesitate to call the prescribing Doc.
