A member asked:

Got dizzy/near threw up from working in closed room writing with sharpies for three hours. left room immed. and got fresh air. brain dam. from this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: No worries. Life is not that fragile. Neither getting dizzy, throwing up, writing with Sharpies, nor getting fresh air will lead to brain damage if they are one-time events. That being said, one can switch to a different type of pen, if the Sharpies are associated with symptoms.
