A member asked:

I was playing basketball the other day and my leg swung behind me and something in my knee popped. now it is very painful when moving is side to side.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Knee Injury: A painful pop with knee swelling while playing basketball is an ACL tear and/or meniscus tear until proven otherwise. Recommend evaluation with an orthopedic surgeon to diagnose the problem.
