Abnormal stress test: A "myocardial perfusion defect with reversibility" indicates that there is something reducing the blood supply to the heart muscle (eg, atherosclerosis causing a blockage in the coronary.) The exercise EKG (stress test) can appear normal even if myocardial persuion is not. Additional testing, such as a catheter angiogram, may be needed.
