Efficacy: Studies show that all of the PPIs have similar efficacy, however, side effects are variable. You can switch to another PPI, such as Nexium (esomeprazole) and not necessarily have the same side effects. Talk with your prescribing physician. Have you been tested for H. Pylori? If pain symptoms persist, get a referral to a GI doctor and get a scope. If H. Pylori+take therapy+retest to make sure clear
