Safe to breast feed: if doses are taken sporadically for migraine. Both meds are not excreted significantly in breast milk. Sumatriptan has a half life of 2 1/2 hours, so is essentially gone after 5 hours, but Naproxen has a longer half life and takes 8-12 hours for breast milk to be completely free. By 6 months, other NSAIDs like ibuprofen are given in full dose to infants for fever and pain and are well tolerated
