Soreness: Squats create more pressure on the ball and arch of the foot. Your foot might be sore from the amount of the weights to wearing improper shoes. Cryotherapy (icing) is a great and quick way to calm down acute inflammation. Ice the area with an ice pack, no water bottles, 4-5 times/day and keep the ice on for 15-20 minutes. Do not wear any shoes or sandals that make the feet hurt.
