Dizziness: Hyperthyroidism can cause dizziness or lightheadedness and if you have a very fast heart rate you should call 911. You should have a full exam from a physician. The most dangerous cause of dizziness that is related to hyperthyroidism is an abnormal heart rhythm caused by thyroid storm. Dizziness has several other unrelated causes that can be evaluated at a regular appointment if you feel well.
