Now: You can start today. It's day of period or with in 5 days of period - is the best time to start if you want it to effective. This is for the first time- after that 3 wks - patch each week followed by one patch free week

Today ASAP: The recommendation nowadays is that the sooner you apply your contraceptive patch, the better. It is not wise to wait; so start today and be safe.
