Anxiety Symptoms: When anxious, humans tend to breath rapidly and shallowly, high in the chest causing physical symptoms such as light-headedness, tingling in the extremities, and even heart palpitations. Try slowing your breathing such as is taught in yoga or meditation classes. Focus on the long, slow exhalation. It can also be helpful to understand what fears trigger your anxiety.
