1st ultrasound @9wk3dy.doc couldn't find heartbeat.no cramp or bleeding,but brown discharge.baby measure 9wks.is it early to detect heart or wait it?

Depends on technique: Transabdominal scans (see pic) with a low frequency probe and an heavy pt. with a tilted back uterus might not show a heartbeat (HB) at 9 wks, esp. if dates are a little off (irregular periods).
BUT, a resonable trans vaginal U/S (probe in the vagina) would be expected to show a HB at 9+ wks. Maybe this will be done along & blood tests.
