I have an anterior talofibular ligament torn . a few intact inferior fibers the tear measures 1.8x0.5x0.6cm is it likely it will need surgery it happened 1/1/2016 and is getting more painful each day . theres never been any swelling or bruising just pain

It gets better: The torn ligament can be treated with immobilization, nsaids, icing and non weightbearing. The symptoms generally improve over several weeks
