Yes, but..: There's no reason why you can't take Prozac (fluoxetine) 20 mg/day at age 65 or older if prescribed by doctor who is familiar with your mental and medical history. However, therapeutic doses tend to be smaller with increasing age because of greater risk of side effects. Be sure all your doctors know every medication you may be taking. Close medical supervision is necessary while on Prozac (fluoxetine). I hope this helps.
