See answer: The shivering and passage of bloody stool may or not be related. Shivering often indicates an infection, particularly if a fever follows. Blood in the stool can come from bleeding hemorrhoids. Bloody diarrhea can be caused by infection with Shigella and other bacteria. If you continue to feel unwell or have fever or continued blood in stool you should see a physician.
