Dr. needs to check: A doctor can evaluate a 50 year-old woman with breast pain to see if it is related to trauma, infection, hormonal changes, shingles (chickenpox virus), cancer, etc... Breast cancer is always a concern. However, when a woman says she has trouble breathing, a good thing to do is to be seen now by her primary care doctor, or at the Emergency Room, in case symptoms are from her heart (heart attack).
