A member asked:

Is psychotherapy considered a form of rehabilitation, except for mental health?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Psychotherapy: I see psychotherapy as a specific type of health behavior intervention. I suppose in a very broad sense, it is rehabilitation. Depending on the type of psychotherapy, assignments are given for the patient to complete. Sometimes this can be specific behavior and/or changes in thinking processes. Also, the patient needs to be the one doing most all of the "work". Thanks for stimulating this view.
