While not all: vaginal irritation is due to infection, this has to be excluded first and requires a health care visit for testing to exclude bacterial vaginosis (BV), yeast infection, etc. Beyond this vaginal irritation can be caused by "trauma" (sometimes associated with frequent intercourse), chemical irritants (creams, etc), or hormonal changes. Antibiotics or topical steroids may help, prescribed by your Doc
