Okay: Pregnancy causes an increase in the number of white blood cells that were "hanging out" on the inside of the blood vessels(margination) awaiting a stimulus to "spring into action" to do so. You are increasing your blood volume, pace and red cells as your pregnancy grows and the white blood cells don't "stick to the sides" of the blood vessels in that situation but circulate and are normally tested
