A member asked:

I stopped breast feeding almost 8 months ago, is it too late to relactation? is it possible to relactation at this point?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, but difficult : You have to your advantage the fact you were previously breast feeding. This makes relactation a bit easier, but it's still a daunting task. You must be very committed, very relaxed, and understand even with the best situation you may not be successful. If possible, get a lactation expert involved. Adoptive mom's who didn't even have a baby have done this, but it takes time and commitment
