Not usually: Once the suckling stops on the nipples, the body usually senses no more production is needed and your milk production should taper off. If your breast are being stimulated still, you may still produce milk. Often the engorgement and swelling, without evacuation of the milk can get painful. See your dr./ob-gyn and get tested for hormones that may cause this too. Best wishes.
