Be careful: There are typically poor long-term results for surgical "correction" of hypermobile joints. Increasing strength around hypermobile joints, increasing proprioception though affected areas, and avoiding aggravating activities is likely the most effective approach. Bracing may be used if significant instability or frequent dislocations are common, but bracing alone may lead to poor long-term outcomes
